Flame Empress

Aggh it’s been way too long since I’ve uploaded. Problem is that programming pretty much every day of the week (weekends included) past 10PM kind of takes away time for most other things in life. Hopefully I’ll still draw more during the semester despite this.

Anyway, a while ago in one of the AT drawthreads there was a request of Finn aligning with the Fire Kingdom and laying siege to the Candy Kingdom. A very talented anon drew something great and it set off my imagination, making me wonder what it would be like if Flame Princess turned the Fire Kingdom into an empire and set out for conquest of Ooo. This led to me drawing Flame Princess Empress mobilizing her forces, ready to conquer her foes and having Finn join her army as her right hand man. In my head, Finn gets disillusioned with PB for one reason or another (something involving PB lying to Finn big time) and defects to what is now the Flame Empire, since absolute honesty became law after the previous Flame King was overthrown. And also Flame Empress by this time has worked out a ton and suddenly grown to over 7 feet tall because reasons. 

Something that still bugs me about this drawing is that even with the army in the back, the background still feels a bit empty. My art would probably improve a lot if I actually understood how to draw backgrounds instead of shoehorning one in as an afterthought…oh well, one day.
